These illustrations were created for Contrada, a new upscale Italian eatery in San Francisco. The thinking on the illustrative branding was to incorporate the image of an elegant swan and a pattern of California poppies into the shield and a flag formats used in the Palio Race and Festival of Siena, Italy.
